Barbican

The Barbican in Krakow is a medieval defensive fortress that once formed part of the city’s fortifications. Built of brick, it is distinguished by its circular form and imposing walls that once protected the city from invasions. Today, it is one of the best-preserved examples of defensive architecture in Poland, serving as a tourist attraction and a venue for exhibitions and cultural events. The Barbican is located right next to the Florian Gate, which is one of the main entry points to Krakow.
